Karyn Lewis Searcy was selected by her colleagues from District 9 (San Diego and Imperial Counties) and received the 2013 Award of Outstanding Service in recognition of her work in speech language therapy.
Once a year, the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA) District Nominating Committee meets to consider nominations for awards to be given at the annual State Conference in the Spring. This award is intended to honor and recognize those Speech/Language and Audiology professionals who have distinguished themselves by outstanding service in the field of Communicative Disorders.
Karyn was presented with the award at the 2013 CSHA annual convention, which was held in Long Beach, March 7-10.
