                                                                        Parent-Child SIGN & SPEAK©

                                                                        The Parent-Child Sign and Speak Program© was developed by Crimson Center in 2005 in an effort to work collaboratively with the parents and families of children who struggle with communication.  Together with the group facilitator, caregivers will develop strategies to encourage and foster communication across all settings. They will also form a support system for families to discuss their triumphs and challenges. 

                                                                        Group sessions will target:

                                                                        o        Vocabulary development
                                                                        o        Speech production skills vs. expressive language skills
                                                                        o        Theory behind the use of modified gestures for communication
                                                                        o        Incorporating skills into activities of daily living
                                                                        o        Methods to increase engagement and communication
