Jamie relocated to San Diego from northern Virginia to begin her career as a speech-language pathologist. She earned her bachelor of science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northeastern University and her masters of science from James Madison University. She
has worked and gained experience in a variety of clinical settings, including:
early intervention in clinic-based facilities
a school for children with autism and behavioral difficulties
a recreational summer camp for children with autism and sensory integration disorders
a rehabilitation hospital for children

a private practice providing therapy across the lifespan for diverse communication disorders
As coordinator of Crimson Center's outreach to child development centers on military bases, Jamie works collaboratively with parents and staff to develop integrative and creative speech & language programs for military families. She has also developed a language group to help prepare children transitioning into preschool programs.
Jamie has a strong background in the use and programming of a variety of augmentative communication devices. She has studied principals of motor learning for apraxia of speech in children (including Edythe Strand) and integrates them into her individualized treatment plans. Her diverse experience contributes to her ability to evaluate and provide therapy to adults, adolescents and children with specific disorders, syndromes, and deficits, such as:
autism spectrum disorders
Down syndrome
cerebral palsy
traumatic brain injury
Parkinson’s disease
language delays
social skills
voice disorders
apraxia
phonological disorders
swallowing and feeding disorders
