Erin received her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. She was a founding executive member of the university’s chapter of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSHLA) and participated in a variety of community service and awareness events, including the Special Olympics Healthy Hearing Screening. Erin has clinical experience with birth through geriatric populations, including a program for the deaf and hard of hearing and an exceptional needs facility for non-verbal students requiring AAC devices. She completed an internship with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and participated in their multidisciplinary feeding team, evaluating and treating children with a variety of sensory and motor feeding needs. She also has worked with a multidisciplinary early intervention center providing individual and group therapy, as well as working with their early start preschool program.
Erin's clinical experience has involved children with a variety of developmental disabilities, including teaching social communication and sequencing/narrating skills for students with autism in kindergarten through middle school. She created and facilitated an 8 week social skills group for adolescents with Aspergers and autism, and co-developed an augmentative assistive communication camp primarily targeting students with autism..
